What makes a great Business Case?
What information needs to be included (and what can be safely left out?)
This course introduces participants to the purpose, structure and content of a Business Case document as well as providing practical tips and examples of how to write really compelling Business Cases!
Divided into two sessions, the first half puts the business case into context and looks at what makes a really great business case. The second half is a workshop where we put those learnings into practice to create and critique a business case of our own.
During this half day in-person session we’ll cover the following modules:
Making the case
- The Business Case in Context
- What a Business Case isn’t
- Ownership and contents of a Business Case
- Things you should know (but don’t need to include)
- Things it’s OK not to know
- Things to leave out
- Writing great business cases
Anatomy of a Business Case – A workshop to review a business case and put your learning into practice.
Gosh that sounds great, let’s get cracking!
On the day
Each day typically runs from either 09.30 to 13.00 or 13:00 to 16.30 and will incorporate one fifteen-minute break between sessions.
How do I book?
If this sounds like the course for you (or your team) get in touch with us by clicking the button below to schedule a call so we can work out the details, or you can email us for more info by dropping a line to hello@everydaypm.co.uk.
This is great, but what’ll I do for the other half of the day?
It’s a very good question, I’m glad you’ve asked.
Did you know we also do half-day courses in risk management, project planning and effective project sponsorship? We can do the half day course on its own, or we can smoosh the two together and create a full day of learning – now doesn’t that sound good?
